can i really call this a job?

with the holiday season quickly coming to a halt and the majority of people reentering the daily grind, failing at their resolutions, and counting down the weeks until they recover from the holiday spending, the only thing i can find to complain about is i live on a air mattress. even with that being said, i upgraded from couch cushions so there is nothing in my life to complain about. i have a roof with minimal rent, plenty of food to eat, and a job that hardly constitutes as work. i am blessed, maybe not in the bank account, but in the fact that i am able to do things i look forward to everyday...
a typical day for me usually involves the following;
530-wake up
630-monitoring the weight room or running a conditioning or agility/speed training session
815-practice
1045-monitoring the weight room
115-eat and shower
200-in the office catching up on emails, watching videos of recruits, and meeting with a steady flow of guys about any number of things.
500-back at home eating dinner.
on top of everything else, i am still able to find my own time to work out and practice with the team as needed, my boss is more laid back that i am, and the overall environment revolves around the beautiful.
now i understand that coaching is not the desire of everyone. that is not my point. what i am trying to put forth is that i am one of the few that truly looks forward to waking up (in the early morning hours) and driving to the office. i have many friends who graduated college and like many of us, jumped on the first job that was offered only to realize four months into employment that they dread the sound of the alarm clock, throwing on work clothes, and looking helplessly into the computer screen with a phone attached to their ear.
oh and before i get off here, i must also mention the weather where i am is a comfortable 60 degrees, i wear flip flops into the office, and am able to come and go as i see fit within a certain amount of reason. i love this
